Our home fellowship group used this (and the companion study guides) for a lengthy bible study on the book of Daniel this year. David Jeremiah always delivers solid teaching in an engaging and easily understood format. Most of the folks that come to our group are either new believers or new to Old Testament studies and this book was a great introductory teaching tool for complex scriptures that can be difficult to understand. We did find, as our group mastered the material and really began to dig in and ask questions, that we were augmenting our study with additional material from other sources, but the book remained a good jumping off point for each new discussion.
Dr. Jeremiah has painstakingly explained the Book of Daniel in such a way that I could understand it. I have truly been blessed to have read it. I have read the Book of Daniel several times but did not understand a lot of it. Dr. Jeremiah has explained this prophetic book in such a way that anyone can understand. I will definitely keep it in my library and will recommend it to my friends.
As I was reading through the Old Testament and came to Daniel, I wanted to be a ble to have a deeper measure of understanding. Dr. David Jeremiah came to mind because I have been watching his TV presentations. He speaks and writes in a manner that I can learn from.I recommend The Handwriting on the Wall as a great tool.
This book was written in the 1990's but the subject is a study of the book of Daniel in the Bible. Daniel is a book of prophecy about the end times for the world. The author stays true to the Bible and does not add or try to predict specific dates as some have tried to do. It is a good study and gives the reader a lot to think about.
Mr. Jerimiah wrote so Daniel's visions were understandable. He explained what visions had already been accomplished and what visions were still to come.
Not only do I enjoy the easy conversational style of David Jeremiah, I thoroughly appreciate the detailed analysis of each section of t he book that he had compiled.He makes the prophecies of Daniel understandable and relevant to us in 2018. Daniel lived in challenging times. We do too! Daniel learned to cope and rise far above his circumstances. The book of Daniel - with help from this book by David Jeremiah - can help us rise above our circumstances as well.
This was a fascinating read that removed some of the cloud of mystery behind the cloak of the prophecy of Daniel. David Jeremiah provided credibility to God's revealed word through the prophet Daniel by demonstrating the fulfillment of the earlier prophesies which leads one to conclude that the ones left open will indeed be fulfilled as God promised.
This book is an exposition of the book of Daniel in clear terms. Jeremiah is an excellent writer, and transforms difficult text into clearly understandable literature.. Couldn't put it down, and I intend to read it again before putting it into my storage files. A must read for these troubled times.
